From the history of the Donskoy district workers' and peasants' inspection. 1924-1925.

The article is devoted to the activities of the Don District Workers' and Peasants' Inspectorate, from October 1924 to October 1925. The Don District RKI finally became part of the merged party-state control by November 1924, when in general, at the 3rd Plenum of the North Caucasus Regional Committee of the RKI, the goals and objectives that were set for the local bodies of the RKI were determined. The volume of tasks was large and included the activities of the Workers' and Peasants' Inspectorate of the District in various spheres of social and economic life, in the field of rationalization of public administration. The creation and beginning of the activities of a dual body of party-state control (TsKK RCP(b) – NK RKI RSFSR), became a major milestone in the evolution of the RCP (b) from the status of a political party to the ruling party in the country and embarked (in fact) on the path of nationalization of its structures. The merger of the bodies of internal party and state control in the RSFSR also largely gave the ruling party additional authority in the eyes of the population and contributed to the comprehensive strengthening of its political position.
The purpose of the article is to study the forms and methods of work of the Don District RKI, to identify the degree of effectiveness of the activities of this body, its influence on the economic and social processes that took place in the USSR in the period 1924–1925.
